INTERNET STREAMING AND WHY IT'S OK AND NOT

I don't if any of this makes sense, but Work is for workers, and play is for players. I am a worker, and not a player at all. I dig music, and I am not the first at this but usually I dig for cool music. So, yes sometimes it takes time and to quote Thee Arthur Layne "Time is money and money is time" So when finding cool music is easy, it's usually luck! Like finding a needle in a hay stack.

So yes! Internet Libraries and Streaming services provide the music listener these days an infinite supply! Not everything you say? Well yes, but enough to overdose an old school music addict ten times over. So why? What’s the problem with that? Well I'll tell you. The adventure is missing, the story is gone, the sweat, the pain, the memories, the experience. Music to some is a path, a religion, a way of life. So the art of finding a precious record in the DOLLAR BIN, Or seeing an opening band that blows your mind, or talking to someone by chance with a music recommendation that is quite explosive, or your finding your parents old music collection. Those experience are not taken seriously/are not needed anymore. That’s Sad because the connections are disappearing. Ok that's why it's no Bueno.

Why is this new way to eat music OK now, Well first you and me can upload our mediocrity self-music and have a worldwide chance that someone recognizes your talent as PRECIOUS GOLD or just thinks your weird,...and Weird is the new bell bottoms/ or skinny jeans or whatever the kids are saying.

I think like everything else it's a matter of balance. Everything in excess is probably not good, so in moderation go on the computer tonight and pass out in algorithmic recommendations, and cute playlists for your addict mind to ooze. But first thing tomorrow balance it out with a music show or visit to your last "going extinct" remaining record stores and talk/search/find that new song/artist/memory that will fulfill your music heart until you get old and forgetful.
